Membership is open to anyone interested in playing one or more instruments in the recorder family. The Society currently plays pieces featuring sopranino, soprano (descant), alto (treble), tenor, and bass (basset in f, bass in c & contrabass in F) recorders.
Fees
Membership fees are as follows:
- Full Member: $65.00
- Member under 18: $30
- Pensioner and Student Concession other than above: $55.00
Benefits of Membership
- Beginners learn to play or improve their skills in a supportive environment.
- Developing performance skills by participating in our regular concerts.
- Playing is led by our current Music Director, Xavier Gandy or other skilled players who occasionally lead sessions.
- Members can access the Society Library of some 1,400 pieces of music ranging from solo pieces to large ensemble works of 12 to 14 parts.
- Through generous bequests of previous members, a selection of instruments is also available for short term loan while new members test the waters.
- Making beautiful music in a friendly environment.
